Hornby High/Primary School

Covering multiple stages over a 30-month programme, the redevelopment includes the construction of a new ‘All of School Building’ featuring modern learning environments, science and technology suites, shared spaces for learning and leisure and administration facilities. 

We are delivering a new state-of-the- art gymnasium, catering for the school’s 800 pupils, as well as a range of other school and community activities. The 1200m2 facility includes a floor area for sports of 700 m2; retractable, tiered seating and specialist acoustics and temperature controls. The adjoining access areas include changing facilities, a cardio fitness room, offices, storage areas and a linked walkway providing internal access to other buildings. 

There are also three stand-alone, multi-functional learning blocks, known as ‘Homebase’, and a dedicated Plant Building to house ground-source heating and thermal storage infrastructure.
