Clearwater Resort Members Lounge

The Clearwater Resort Member’s Lounge extension project is a unique and high quality development, delivered by Drumreed Construction for the United Kingdom PGA Golf Championship in early 2007.  The lounge, which affords a wonderful view over the 18th green, has several spectacular design features.

One of the key contributing factors to the successful delivery of this unique and challenging project was the very close working relationship developed between the Drumreed Construction site management team and the onsite Clearwater Resort management staff. 

The demolition phase produced several obstacles that weren't initially on the plan - structural items in the existing canopy were not constructed as on plan, there were several large areas of old footings that weren't known about, and the drainage had to be completely redesigned by our sub-contractors to accommodate levels that differed from the as built drawings.

The project presented many challenges, whether it was noise restrictions or re-existing site conditions, however these were overcome by a proactive Drumreed Construction management team, who delivered an excellent result for the client.
