The redevelopment of Barrington Mall Zone D consisted of significant internal and external alterations to the existing building, while ensuring neighbouring tenants were not disturbed.
The internal alterations included structural strengthening, demolition and replacement of the internal ground floor slab, and extensions to existing operational tenanted units.
The external alterations consisted of the replacement of footpaths and canopies, as well as significant facade alterations and the addition of signage panels.
As the shopping centre remained fully operational during construction, we faced time constraints when carrying out certain works. We overcame this by completing these works outside the Mall's opening hours. We also had to be very mindful of the public in relation to site safety at all times.
The project resulted in a well-constructed, modern shopping facility for the local community.
