Burger King

Drumreed was awarded the contract to build the new Burger King on Lincoln Road, Addington, on the morning of 22nd February 2011.  Despite the obvious difficulties of carrying out construction in an earthquake-ravaged city, Burger King opened for business, as planned, on 19th July 2011.

We believe this made it the first commercial building to be started and completed in the city following the earthquake.

The single-storey, state-of-the-art restaurant was constructed with steel frame and sandwich panel.

“We’ve been open a couple of months now. Drumreed were very proactive getting the job up and running so soon after a catastrophe like the earthquake. They were determined to keep things on track and their workmanship was very good.”
